\"That the past was a lie, that memory has no way back, that every ancient spring was irretrievable and that the most destined and tenacious love was, in any case, an ephemeral truth.\" This is what the wise Catalan wrote to his friends after leaving Macondo in search of the sunsets of his homeland, finding himself trapped by two conflicting nostalgias: the memory of the places he left when he was young and the recent memories of the place where he was, from where he longed for his past. For this reason, the work arises from the exercises of memory, from the reflection on the journey and the strategies necessary to transport the memories of the beloved places, which we must abandon in the inevitable presence of departure.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The grass house is made of dried pressed grass and measures approximately 95 cm long by 75 cm high. The lighting in the space is dim, and on a nearby wall is a light box containing a photograph of a green landscape with a clear sky, in which a black sheep is posed facing its home: a house made of grass.<\/span> \u00a0<\/span>An old green projector is placed in front of the house and projects a black sheep onto it. The projection lasts approximately 40 seconds, enough time to relate the sheep in the landscape with the one that is projected, making reference to two different instants and moments.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The play shows a simple relationship between the pasture house and the sheep: the sheep eats its house in order to take it inside it so that it can move with the hope of taking everything with it. In a way, the same is true for us when we leave a beloved place. Our strategy is carried out through memory: we take with us an archive of images, smells and sensations that tend to be embellished with the passage of time because of multiple evocations.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
