CV

Ximena Velásquez Sánchez
Cumbitara - Colombia
As a visual artist and researcher, my interests are focused on the images that are formed at the limits or borders between different media. I am interested in photochemical crossings with digital languages and how the image transforms its discourse from its own materiality. My recurring themes deal with the feminine world and the form of landscape as an experience. I have been working on these themes from different critical and aesthetic positions, through installation proposals involving video, photography and objects.
I am a founding member of the collective Patasola (Juan Alonso and Yomayra Puentes Rivera), which since 2015, we have been making the video art festival Videograma, which has three versions and has been presented in different cities of Colombia, and in other festivals such as OVER THE REAL, 2023 and METACINEMA, 2020 in Italy.
