Multiverse

Multiverse, or the different universes parallel to ours, is the concept explored in this short film, exploring the temporal boundaries and the malleable dimension of time and space. For its realization, I used a handmade camera built from a matchbox. Using the stop motion technique, several rolls of film were shot, some of them with expired film, which gave the images a unique texture and atmosphere. The films were scanned and then turned to red and blue tones, seeking to add more texture and depth to the image. From my perspective, this process creates an interesting contrast between the media and techniques used, supporting the idea of the passage of time and the possible clashes, encounters and misunderstandings that arise from that relationship.
