This series of photographs seeks to highlight small emotional disasters in everyday life. The series draws its inspiration from the Romantic paintings of the nineteenth century, where grand-scale disasters were regularly depicted with great violence, thereby leaving traces of the magnitude of the incident. I reflect on the scope of disasters, but not those related to natural phenomena but rather the small tragedies that arise in daily life. Tied to our emotions, ill-fated love, and banal attachments, it is these tragedies that affect us most deeply.
